This is the wooden chair that Sri Ramanujar  is said to have used at his year long stay at his maternal uncle's house at Tirumalai  whist studying Ramayana  under his tutelage in 11 th cent  AD.This is in Tirumalai in zeer mutt which also houses the idols of Rama and sita which he had worshiped during his stay
