Aazhwar's hymn dedicated to Villakoli or Deepa prakasar perumal at Kanchipuram

Thirumagai Azhwar has sung the following hymn.

Ponnai mamaniyai anniyarindhor minnai vengatathu uchiyil kandu poi ,

Yennai aalidai eesanai embiran thanai yaam sendru kandum thankavil. ..................1849.

One who is desirable as gold,

One who is like blue sapphire,

One who is as bright as a flash of lightening ,

One who has enslaved me !

And the One whom I worshipped at the Tirumala peak,

am worshipping at Thiruthanka......[the original name of this place]

Maraghdha valli Thayaar sannidhi.
Andal sannidhi at Villakoli koil.
