Thirumangai Azhwar's hymn in praise of Vaikuntanathar at Kanchipuram
The following hymn is from Peria Thirumozhi---[2-10-9]
Solluvan sotruporul thanavaiya suvai
ooru voli natramum thotramumai,
nallaran nallaran nanmugan naranakku
idanthan thadam choozhinda azhagiya kachi
pallavan villavanyendru ulagil palaraipala vendar vanagunkhazhal
pallavan mallaiyarkon panindu paramesuara vinnagarmaduve'.......................1128
The translation.
The leader of mantra's chanted aloud as well as the inner meaning of Veda's ,
Who is within taste, sound, smell ,form and motion!
Who is also within the four faced Brahma,
Is also within the Parameswara vinnagram[ancient name of Vaikuntanathar temple] which is in the picturesque town of Kanchipuram,
And is worshipped by brave and mighty Pallava rulers --Pallavan and Villavan!...........(1.)
