Shifting of actor Sivaji's statue

The news that actor Sivaji's statue will be shifted from Marina beach to his memoriol in Adayar, shortly is  good news.
His statue was blocking view of Mahatma Ghandhi 's statue.I had blogged about this several years back.
In that tri section of broad roads leading to the sea, Republic day and Independant days parades are conducted .Whilst it is apt and right for Ghandhiji to preside over the national functions it is not fit and proper for a film actor how much so ever talented he may be to receive the honours  that are due only to M.K.Ghandhi.
That late actors statue was eclipsing the eminence and stature of Ghandhiji .

Congrats to the petitioners for achieving their end with determination.

Centre's achievments

Two achievments of the present govt at centre according to me is--

1. Getting UN to declare  a day in a year as Yoga day.

2.Since this govt has taken over  there hasn't been a single bomb blast in markets or malls or stations  by terrorists across the country thus making civilians life safe .This according to me is its best achievment so far.
