Womem's reservation bill.

I am not for it.If a woman is ambitious for  a political career or service minded or both  there is nothing in any Indian law or in the society ,that prevents her from contesting elections by either joining a political party or on her own just like men.
The word reservation itself smacks of a patronising mindset.It demeans one socially as well as individually.Women who have set their heart on politics have to compete with men on equal footing or simply perish just like it is in  all the other careers  open to women .                                                                          Aren't talented, ambitious as well as service minded women [for eg ias]doing very well in all walks of life and careers purely on the basis of their merit? .
